This training aims to enhance
participant's understanding and
skills to act appropriately and
confidently in protecting and
supporting girls who are at risk or
have been subjected to FGM
Learning outcomes:
• To develop understanding of
key legislation and statutory
guidance that determines
personal safeguarding roles
• To consider how to effectively
and sustainably engage with
girls, their families and
communities
• To gain confidence in dealing
with known and suspected
cases of FGM
